What's a Kettlebell Split jerk? I am going today even though I am in mega pain, so hopefully it won't be cancelled, if it is call me please.

below is a link to a similar exercise, the dumbell split jerk. however, you'll be using a kettlebell and just doing one side at a time...

I am mentally preparing myself for this tonight. I think I am coming down with strep and a double ear infection BUT I AM GOING TO FIGHT the good fight (but just keep away from everyone. LOL)

Thanks for the links, Will-I-Am! I love the KB jerk, but I've never tried the split version. I may have to give that one a go.

hey there Melissa...no prob, thanks for providing the awesome content! and thanks for dropping a line!

yep, a lot of people haven't tried the KB split jerk for some reason. me, i like to try any and every practical variation of an exercise i can think of. and with regard to my oly lifts, i've always been partial to the split-jerk since i'm somewhat, kind-of, slightly tall (haha) so adding the split to the KB jerk was an inevitable outcome. i also like the split version because it definitely adds another element to the move with the additional balance and core stability requirements, which are two typical deficiencies found in most of my new clients.

so...there you have it! whenever you get around to trying it i'd be curious to know what your thoughts are!
